Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the permanent full-time role of Asset Officer.
Reporting directly to the Strategic Asset Management Coordinator, the Asset Officer plays a key role in supporting the longevity, functionality and safety of Council facilities. This position is responsible for assisting in the management of planned maintenance programs and the successful delivery of capital works projects related to asset renewals while delivering desired community outcomes as outlined in the Community Strategic Plan.
We are seeking a highly motivated person with strong customer service focus, a self-starter and possessing efficient time management capabilities. The successful candidate will require a relevant trade/TAFE certificate or higher qualifications in this field. You will have demonstrated hands-on trade experience including experience in the building asset conditions, maintenance schedules and the ability to use technical equipment and tools.
The successful candidate will be competent in using computer systems, be a strong communicator with good literacy skills, relevant work experience and able to work effectively in a team and independently as required.
This position engages with a wide variety of stakeholders and as such maintaining the professional image of Council is paramount.
