Reporting directly to the Visitor Services Coordinator you will support Broken Hill City Council in assisting with tasks and activities necessary for the successful daily operations within the Living Desert, Living Desert Flora and Fauna Sanctuary, Starview Primitive Campsite, Willyama Common and Regeneration Area ensuring all areas are highly presentable, secure, and safe for the community.
We are seeking an employee that is enthusiastic in pursuing a career at the Living Desert that will ideally have experience in various labouring and gardening duties, able to interact with local wildlife including kangaroos, have high interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate well with customers, volunteers and various user groups of the Living Desert, and the ability to assist in completing generic repairs and maintenance of infrastructure.
The successful candidate will enjoy living in Broken Hill, take a proactive approach to their work and strive to make a real difference in the community.
