Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant/s to fill the permanent full-time role of Community Events Officer.
Reporting directly to the Community Development Coordinator, this position will coordinate and lead the planning and delivery of community events in all aspects of Council’s core Community Events Program.
As the Community Events Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Community Development team in the planning, development and delivery of community events, youth events, sponsorship events, internal events and award programs.
We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
As Council events operate 7 days per week, hours will be rostered over a 7-day period and you will need to be available for work Sunday to Saturday. Council also operates events during holiday periods including school holidays, public holidays and the new year period. Penalty rates apply for Saturday and Sunday work and public holidays as per the Broken Hill City Council Consent Award.
